Major (Retired) James Capers Jr. served in the most elite unit in the U.S. Marine Corps – Force Reconnaissance.  His adventures in the heart of Vietnam transformed him into a legend.  Capers became the only Marine to receive a battlefield commission and was nominated twice for the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions on the battlefield.
